Üliõpilaste laulu- ja tantsufestival Gaudeamus 2018 23.06.2018 - 24.06.2018 -

This midsummer Gaudeamus, the most celebrated festival of university students, takes place in Tartu. The festival’s dance program, "The Mystery of Midsummer’s Eve“ (directed by Rene Nõmmik), is performed on the 23rd of June, followed by the song festival, "The Songs of Midsummer Eve“ (musical director Kuno Kerge, director Ain Mäeots), on the 24th of June. In addition to the above-mentioned ticketed events, several free concerts and dance performances are held in the city centre. Celebrate this year’s Midsummer’s Eve in Tartu!

Friday, 22nd of June 2018
21.00 – 21.30 igniting the festival’s flame at Kassitoome near the stone of Gaudeamus;
21.30 – 22.30 performer’s march from Kassitoome to Vabaduse boulevard;
23.00 – 00.00 the opening ceremony of the Gaudeamus festival at Vabaduse boulevard and the banks of Emajõgi (free admission)

Saturday, 23rd of June 2018
12.00 – 17.00 City events program
21.00 – 00.00 Dance festival "The mystery of Midsummer Eve" at Tamme Sports court

Sunday, 24th of June 2018
12.00 – 15.00 City events program
15.00 – 16.00 Participant's march to the Song Festival Ground
16.00 – 19.00 Song festival "The songs of Midsummer Eve" at the Song Festival Ground
